Dilip Darai, Nepalese dairy worker in south island New Zealand has been killed in deadliest car crash in Winton, New Zealand. Crash took place on Jan 24 , led Darai spot dead and other 3 are injured which also includes wife of dead person. Injured has been rescued by Helicopters immediately and sent to Dunedin hospital, One of them with minimal injury has been discharged. Two others are still in hospital. They were returning after celebrating Nepalese festival Loshar. Car was crashed with a tanker which led to deadliest accident. There was a big accident when the car and the tanker collided.
Consulate of Nepal in New Zealand Mr. Atmaram Khanal informed us that the initiative to send his body to Nepal has started after the family members in Nepal requested to bring the body of the deceased to Nepal.
The dairy farm where the deceased Dilip was working and the recruitment agency ‘The Regions’, which employed him, have started collecting support to send his body to Nepal. The regions have started collecting support through the Give a Little page. The regions have also contributed 5,000$ to send Darai’s body to Nepal.
